Founded in 2021, Hajime Model Studio traces its roots back to 2017 when founder Sidney Ang first began building and painting Gundam model kits. What started as a personal hobby turned into a lifelong pursuit after he unexpectedly placed in his first local competition—a small but meaningful win that ignited his drive to master the craft.
 

By 2019, Sidney had hired his first in-house artist, marking the humble beginnings of what would become the Philippines’ first and only professionally run model studio.
 

Fast forward to today, Hajime Model Studio has grown into a multi-awarded creative workshop with two Philippine GBWC Championships, Silver and Bronze podiums, multiple local honors, and international competition placements. The studio now houses four full-time professional artists, all personally trained by Sidney, dedicated exclusively to painting, assembling, and customizing model kits at the highest standards.
 

Equipped with cutting-edge tools—including two resin 3D printers, one FDM printer, 3D modeling software, and 3D scanning technology—Hajime Model Studio combines artistry with innovation. While Gundam models remain the studio’s core specialty, their portfolio extends to ships, tanks, planes, spacecraft, and other custom creations.
